Experiment with mycelium and gain insight into the fascinating world of fungi and their wide-ranging applications.
You can do artistic research on site and try out various hands-on kits to create sculptures from mycelium.
Lina Vieres, biologist at Fraunhofer UMSICHT, designer Julia Krayer and artist Mara Sandrock will give you an insight into the fascinating world of fungi in their impulse lecture. Fungi are neither animal nor plant and are used in the most diverse areas of our everyday life: in medicine, the food industry and biotechnology, as materials, in fermentation processes and, not least, as intoxicants.
Maximum number of participants: 14
The workshop is for anyone interested, ages 10 to 100+.
